Blessed Bob and Linda

there’s a great moment in Bob’s Burgers where Bob and Linda have been getting steadily more and more competitive with this stupid napkin game they’re playing to pass the time. And Bob looses, so he’s standing watching linda compete with someone else and like rooting for her to loose. Then suddenly he catches his reflection and is horrified by his own behavior. He looks to his wife and the heavens part and a cute voice sings “Liiindaaaa” and he starts cheering for her instead and it’s beautiful.

“marriage is work” sounds like staying with someone you dislike or who treats you like crap.

“marriage makes you want to be a better person” is probably more accurate. Because everyone is selfish sometimes. Everyone has bad moods. Marrying someone you love means you care about not hurting their feelings and you want to make them happy. And if both of you are working towards loving each other better, your relationship only gets stronger.
